Cooking vegetables can get boring if you don’t try out new things. One green I have come to really love is rainbow chard. It’s beautiful to look at for one and two, it has a ton of great vitamins and minerals in one packed place. High in the vitamin C department to help your immune system. Vitamin E coming in next with a powerful punch to protect against inflammation. Vitamins also included in this power food include magnesium, calcium and vitamin K. Yeah, get some healthy people! 🙂
1 bunch rainbow chard (or other chard will do just as well)
1 Tbsp fat (my favorite is butter for this but bacon fat, olive oil, coconut oil will do)
1/4 C chicken broth
Other spices could include: red pepper, onion powder, garlic powder
Turn stove on to low heat, let the fat melt.
Rinse and chop up your chard. I cut mine down the middle and then across, it will shrink up a bit so pieces don’t have to be super tiny if you don’t want.
Add chard to melted fat & warm pan, let it cook for about 10 minutes moving around every couple of minutes.
Add in chicken broth, let it cook for another 5 minutes. Sprinkle on sea salt and any other seasonings of your choice. Easypeasy.
